Of Quitman passed away Monday, March 28, 2011 at his residence. He was born on October 19, 1935 in Winnebago, NE to the late Thomas & Nora Gilson Hunter. He served in the United States Navy for over 22 years. He served in the Vietnam War and the end of the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeannine Hunter, granddaughters, Jodi Colosi and Heather Church.
He is survived by his, Daughters & Sons-in-law, Dawn & Pat Mills, Jacksonville, FL, Juanita & Donald McCormick, Quitman, GA, Linda Foshee & Ernie Gudrian, Connecticut, Nancy & Anthony Jackson, Jacksonville, FL, Shirley Anderson, Connecticut; Son & Daughter-in-law, Michael & Cheryl Fisette, Barney, GA; 11 Grandchildren; 30 Great Grandchildren; Brothers & Sister-in-law, Rollin & Betty Hunter, South Sioux City, NE, Donald Hunter, California; A number of Nieces and Nephews
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 2, 2011 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Campground Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, April 1, 2011 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make donation to Hospice of South Georgia, 2263 Pineview Drive, Valdosta, GA. 31602.
