Edward "Buddy" Maine - 65

Of Valdosta passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born April 13, 1948 in Statenville, GA to the late Eddie & Mamie Deloach Maine. Mr. Maine was Baptist by faith and was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked in the logging woods for more than 40 years. He owned and operated Grand Bay Logging. While not working in the woods he enjoyed spending time hog and coon hunting and making people smile. He loved spoiling and spending time with his grandchildren. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Gail Maine and a nephew Tony Maine.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 22, 2014 in Sardis Baptist Church with burial to follow in Sardis Church Cemetery. Mr. Maine will be placed in church 1 hour prior to services. The family will receive friends Friday night, February 21, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
