Elaine Ellis Brooks – 60
Of Valdosta found peace on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on August 8, 1955 in Valdosta, GA to the late Jimmy Ellis and Marilyn Beecher Ellis of Valdosta, GA. She was a beloved paraprofessional at Sallas Mahone Elementary School in Valdosta, GA while her children were in school there. Prior to ill health she was a receptionist for the Coleman-Talley Law Firm. Mrs. Brooks was a member of Francis Lake Baptist Church in Lake Park and previously a lifelong member of the Central Avenue Church of Christ.
Along with her mother she is survived by her Husband, Howard Brooks, Valdosta, GA; Daughter, Melanie Lyn Dame, Valdosta, GA; Son & Daughter-in-Law, Marcus Ellis Dame & Brandie B., Lowndes County, GA; Granddaughter, Bayleigh Madison Dame; Brother, Roger Ellis; and the father of her children, Mike Dame and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 29, 2015 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday night, November 28, 2015 at the funeral home. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
