Elaine Reaves – 61

Of Valdosta passed away Wednesday March 16, 2005 in South Georgia Medical after a brief illness. She was born on March 18, 1943 to the late Elijah Owen and Mary Cobb Palmer in Pavo, Georgia and had lived in Valdosta for the past 28 years. She had worked in Civil Service more than 25 years serving in Warner Robins Air Force Base, Moody Air Force Base and Ft. Cambell, Kentucky. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Henry H. Hurst and step-son, David Reaves.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday March 19, 2005 in Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Robertson and Rev. Wayne Hughes officiating. Graveside services followed at 3:00 PM in New Bethel Church Cemetery in Meigs, Georgia.

Music Funeral Services of Valdosta is serving the Reaves family.
