Eleanor Elizabeth Darsey

Of Lakeland, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009 in South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born in Lowndes County, Georgia on October 24, 1926 to the late Walter Dewitt and Lillian Katherine Moore Mullis. She was retired from Propex after 15 years of service and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by a son, David Lawton Westberry Sr.; 3 Brothers, Shelby Mullis, Tommy Mullis, Russell Mullis; 2 Husbands, Alvin Lawton Westberry and Joseph Donald Darsey, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in the Good Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. A.M. Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Darsey will be placed in the church one hour prior to service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, March 3, 2009 6-8 p.m.
