Of Homerville, passed away Monday, April 21, 2008 at Clinch Memorial Hospital in Homerville, Georgia. She was born July 28, 1917 in Lanier County, Georgia to the late Gilford and Harriett Browning Fender. She was a homemaker and was of the Church of God Faith. She is preceded in death by her husband James Hughes, a son Clyde Bennett, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday April 23, 2008 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in North Cemetery, Clinch County, Georgia. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
