Elizabeth “Ann” Brown, age 83, of Hahira, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 30, 2026. She was born to loving parents, Dolphus Williams and Grace Medley Williams, on May 18, 1943, in Enterprise, AL.
For many years, Ann was a dedicated and compassionate social worker with the Department of Family and Children’s Services. She devoted her career to helping others, offering kindness, support, and care to those who needed it most. Her caring heart and commitment to making a difference touched many lives.
She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Curtis Douglas Brown and grandson, Hunter Brown.
Ann is survived by her children, Mark Brown (Diana) of Lakeland, FL, Kevin Brown (Laura) of West Fork, AK and Leann Brown of Adel, GA; grandchildren, Cameron Jellison (Casey) of Valdosta, GA, Bailey Strickland (Bradley) of St. Pete, FL, Britney Brown of Lakeland, FL, Jordan Napoles (Alyssa) of Lakeland, FL; great grandchildren, Kayden, Nolan, Jedidiah and Yeshua, Vivian and Eliana; sister, Wanda Reese (Scott of Jacksonville, FL and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 3, 2026. A visitation will be held one hour prior. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Phenix City, Alabama. Kind words and expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com. The Brown family is being served by the professional and caring staff of Music Funeral Services of Valdosta.
