Elizabeth Lee Hall - 98
passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at her home in DeRidder, Louisiana. She was born December 8, 1915, in Tifton, Georgia to William Thomas and Nora Louise Woods. She married Dewey Alton Lee in 1935. She is survived by son, Ray E. Lee and wife, Betty; daughter, Fay Holmes, all of Douglas, Georgia; Lanora B. Strange and husband Herbert E. Strange of DeRidder, Louisiana; son Larue Lee and wife, Margie, of Clyattville, Georgia; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 27 great-great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth and Dewey lived most of their lives in Georgia and Florida, with Dewey passing away in 1968. She continued to work and was very passionate about taking care of her family. She was a great cook and loved to embroider, sharing many pieces with family and friends.
She remarried in 1981 to Charles Walter Hall, who was a wonderful stepfather to her children. They moved to DeRidder in 1996. Mr. Hall had five children, Charlie Hall, Lillian McDuffie, Lorna Perales, Flora Hibbit, and Joe Hall, all of Florida. Mr. Hall passed away in 2007, and Elizabeth then resided with her daughter, Lanora Strange.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 12, 2014 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in the Empire Cemetery in Lakeland, Georgia. The family will be recieve friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Sympathy may be expressed online at wwww.musicfuneralservices.com.
