She was born December 23, 1951 in Hawkinsville, GA to the late Malcolm George Self and Eunice Crawford. She is a member of Pine Grove Community Baptist Church in Valdosta. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a granddaughter Taylor Grace Roberts, a sister Curlee Benson, and 4 brothers Buford Self, Charles Self, Arthur Lee Self, and James O. Self

A number of nieces and nephews along with a lot of other extended family.
Graveside services will be held 2:00P.M. Tuesday February 8, 2011 in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lakeland Ga.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday February 7, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00P.M.
