Elizabeth Horne Mote Herring – 92
Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 16, 1925 in Berrien County, GA to the late Burt E. and Pearl I. (Knight) Horne. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Mote; three brothers, Malcolm Horne, Mayo Horne, Lorane Horne; two sisters, Ilah Pearl Carter and Gladys Waters.
Survivors include her Husband, James “Jim” Herring of Valdosta, GA; Son & Daughter-in-Law, Bill Mote, Jr. (Cheryl) of Buford, SC, Daughter & Son-in-law, Peggy Bland (Doran) of Clyattville, GA, Son & Daughter-in-Law, Walter Mote (Tami) of Little Mountain, SC, Daughter & Son-in-Law, Trish Clayton (Stephen) of Lake Park, GA; Grandchildren, Bill & Lori Mote, III, Tim Mote, Sindi & Randy Zipperer, Nikki Meadows, Will Mote; Great Grandchildren, Dusty Mote, Dylan Mote, Ben Loggins, Reece Zipperer, Kody Mote, John Thomas Mote; Step children, Brenda & Steve Baird, Jamie Herring; Step Grandchildren, Sarra Herring, Kimberly Spivey; Step Great Grandchildren, Vegas & Honor Spivey; numerous nieces & nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 1, 2017 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Cat Creek Cemetery.
