Of Quitman, Georgia passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at her daughter’s residence. She was born on October 4, 1935 in Autaugaville, Alabama to the late Aubrey Walter Middlebrooks and Grace Olivia (Motley) Middlebrooks. She served her country in the United States Air Force. She loved her family and spending time with them was her favorite. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wayne Taylor and grandson, Matthew Coody.
Survivor includes her children: Sandra Coody of Valdosta, Georgia, Patricia Gaddis (Richard) of Lawton, Oklahoma, Wendy Odell of Lake Butler, Florida, Karen Jarvis (Randy) of Quitman, Georgia, Thomas “Buddy” Taylor, Jr. (Cathy) of Lake Park, Georgia; grandchildren: Justin Coody, J.W. “Jay” Wilson III, Courtney Matheny, Elizabeth Jarvis, Timothy Jarvis, Desiree Jarvis, Ashley Taylor, Lindsey Harpe; great grandchildren: Owen Matheny, Bradley Matheny, Ryliegh Bennett, Kaylee Harpe, Keaton Gibbs; sisters: Ercille Dixon of Mobile, Alabama, Jenny Lawrence of Holtville, Alabama; special family friend, Dianna Swain of Lake Butler, Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
As per her wishes, she will be cremated and no formal services will be held at this time. Kind words and expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com . The Taylor family is being served by the professional and caring staff of Music Funeral Services of Valdosta.
