Ellen Carter Chaney

Ellen Carter Chaney – 91 of Naylor, GA passed away on Tuesday December 24, 2019 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 19, 1928 in Lakeland, GA to the late Aus and Jimmie (Allen) Carter. She was a loving mother to nine children, keeping a home filled with love. She was a devout Christian lady. Along with her parents, Ellen is preceded in death by her husband, Brother Buford Chaney; Sons: Buddy, Greg, Denny, John, and Tim Chaney; Great Granddaughter, Tailor Chaney, and Brother Shelley Carter.
Survivors include: Daughters and Sons-in-Law, Carol and Donald Royal of Lakeland, GA, Lawanna and Roy Walton of Naylor, GA; Sons and Daughter-in-Law, David and Betty “Lou” Chaney of Naylor, GA, Kennon Chaney of Naylor, GA; 13 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild
Services honoring Mrs. Chaney will be held on Friday December 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM in The Naylor Holiness Church in Naylor, GA with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday December 27, 2019 from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at Naylor Holiness Church, 5462 Hotchkiss Road, Naylor, Georgia 31641.
