Of Stockton, GA passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2003 in Lakeland Villa Convalescent Center in Lakeland following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Mattox was born October 11, 1917, to the late Isaac W. and Hattie Elizabeth Ganas Allen in Stockton, GA where she has lived all her life. She was retired from S & H Green Stamps, Valdosta, GA and was a member of Stockton Baptist Church. Her hobbies included tending her extensive flower garden, caring for her numerous pets and spending as much time as possible with family and friends. Family reunions were always a special event for her.
Preceding Mrs. Mattox in death was her husband, Carroll Edward Mattox, parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Mrs. Mattox did not have children but was a loving, caring, special Aunt to many nieces, nephews and their children.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2003 in the Stockton Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery.
