Enoch Elijah Benefield - 69
Of Lakeland, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2004 at his residence after a lengthy battle with cancer. He is the son of the late Owen and Minnie Benefield. He was a master mechanic, skilled carpenter, and fisherman by choice. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from January 1954 to January 1957. He was honorably discharged February 1962 after three more years of inactive reserve. He completed his High School education after joining the military. He attended Trade school in Americus for mechanics.
He is an affiliate of Lakeland Church of God where he attended faithfully since dedicating his heart to God in October, 2003.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. in the Lakeland Church of God with Bro. Bob Holland officiating. Burial will follow in the Fender Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon today with the family receiving friends tonight from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.
