Of Valdosta passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at her residence after a brief illness. She was born on February 15, 1932 in Morven, GA to the late Wilbur "Bill" & Arminta Thomas. Mrs. Lewis began her career with the City of Valdosta in 1953 and continued with them for over 45 years. She retired as the Assistant Personnel Director. She was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School, was involved in Circle and many other church activities. Her husband, Edgar Lewis preceded her in death.
Survivors Include: Son & Daughter-in-law, Marcus & Diane Lewis, Valdosta; 2 Granddaughters, Kendal Daughtrey Chase, Lenox, GA, Haley Lewis, Valdosta, GA and Great Grandson, Cranford Daughtrey, Lenox, GA
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night, March 2, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
