Ethel (Parsley) Yarbrough – 67 of Valdosta, GA passed away on Tuesday March 31, 2020 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 14, 1952 in Kanawha, WV to the late Wayne and Ethel (Bragg) Parsley. Ethel was a quality control tech. for Elec-Tech for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed bird watching and was an avid collector of many things. Most of all, Ethel loved her family, and had a special love for her grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Dalton Wilkes, and sister, Jolly Gay Hutchinson.
Survivors include her loving husband of 30 years, James (Jamie) W. Yarbrough, III of Valdosta, GA; Son, David Howell of Valdosta, GA; Daughters, Joya H. Strank and husband, Chris of Valdosta, GA, Heather M. Peavy and husband, David of Valdosta, GA, Jasmine Marie Calhoun and husband, Art of Valdosta, GA, Jessica Maria Yarbrough of Valdosta, GA; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; Sisters, Dora Lee Carpenter of Port Orange, FL, Dorthy Lynn Morabito of Hollister, CA.
A private family graveside service will be held on Friday at the Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will hold an additional memorial service that will be open to the public at a later date.
