He was born on August 5, 1933 in Waycross, GA to the late Jim T. and Leona Lee James. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nell James.
His survivors include 2 Sons & Daughter-in-Law, Jeff & Doreen James of Lakeland, GA, Terry James of Lakeland, GA; Sisters, Ocie Stephens of Argyle, GA, Eleanor Carmichael of Manor, GA, Brother & Sister-in-Law, Jimmy & Sally James of Baxely, GA; Several Nieces & Nephews, and Special Friends, Marie Thomas & Kate Gaskins.
Funeral services will be held 1:00PM on Saturday, January 23, 2016 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Unity United Methodist Church cemetery.
