Of Valdosta passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born in Bristol, VA on February 12, 1938 to the late William Henry & Glenna Almony Tate. Ms. Evelyn was better known as "Granny" or "Mommy". She attended Southland Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Harold Cresong, Sr.
Ms. Evelyn is survived by her, Daughters & Son-in-law, Patty & Eddie Carter, Valdosta, GA, Sandra Cresong, Valdosta, GA; Sons & Daughter-in-law, Clarence Cresong, Jr., Orlando, FL, David Cresong, Valdosta, GA, Joe & Olivia Cresong, Sebring, FL; 14 Grandchildren; Expecting one Great Granddaughter; Special Sisters, Susie Helton, Tennessee, Barbara Helton, Lake Placid, FL, Martha Tate, Bristol, TN; and a number of other Sisters, Brothers, Nieces and Nephews
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 22, 2011 at Southland Church, 2206 East Hill Avenue, Valdosta, GA. 31601 with Apostle Dell Young officiating. Please send all flowers to Southland Church.
