Of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at her residence. She was born to the late Samuel Haynes Kilcrease and Polly Tucker Kilcrease in Valdosta, Georgia on June 24, 1942. Carolyn deeply loved her family and dedicated her life to caring for others. A natural caregiver, she touched countless lives with her compassion and kindness. She found joy and peace in working outdoors, tending lovingly to her yard and flower beds. A devoted cat lover, she shared her home and heart with her feline companions. Carolyn served faithfully at South Georgia Medical Center for over 20 years, where her selflessness and gentle spirit left a lasting impact on those around her. Her legacy is one of love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to both people and animals alike.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Emory Harrell; sons: Christopher Tab Harrell (Brenda) and Lincoln Anthony Harrell (Shelly); sisters: Sue Harrell (Dred) and Sammie Jamerson; brothers: Jim Kilcrease (Eleanor) and Alvin Kilcrease (Barbara.)

Survivors include her son, Wallace Haynes Harrell of Valdosta, Georgia; daughter, Lisa Simmons (Paul) of Beaumont, Texas; grandchildren: Hillary Wheeler (Nolan) of Crosby, Texas, Stefan Simmons (Gabrielle) of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Elle Simmons of Black Hawk, Colorado, Danny Smith of Valdosta, Georgia, and Michael Smith of Valdosta, Georgia; 9 great grandchildren; sisters: Gail Poole (Gerald) of Sylva, North Carolina and Judy Castrinos of Valdosta, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Cat Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Valdosta funeral home.
