She was born in Berrien County on June 27, 1927 to the late Thomas Ethridge and Mary Ethel Lindsey. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Loyce Rhames and a daughter, Vicky Lou Carter.
Survivors include:Daughter & Son-in-law, Linda & Ronald McNeal, Adel, GA, Son & Daughter-in-law, Charles Ronald & Sylvia Diane Rhames, Valdosta, GA, 13 Grandchildren, Several Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 31, 2007 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
