Flora Resey Fountain – 76
Of Ray City passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at her residence. She was born July 19, 1941 in Brooks County to the late Marcus and Flora Kirkland Powers. She was a retired paraprofessional who worked at the Ray City Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James “Jimmy” Fountain, five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include: Daughter and Son-in-Law, Margo and Mike Montgomery of Ray City, GA; Sons and Daughter-in-Law, Tommy and Faith Fountain of Carrollton, GA; Bill and Susan Schools of Ray City, GA; Grandchildren: Lori-Ann and Josh McFather, Mickey Montgomery and Cara Robinson, Brittany Fountain and Mitch Hughes; Kailey Fountain, Jamie Fountain; Great Grandchild: Haleigh McFather; Sister and Brothers-in-Law , Sara and Johnnie Brantley of Ray City, GA; Sister-in-law & Brother-in-law, Margaret and Mickey Richards of Carrollton, GA; Aunts and Uncles, Diane and Joe Sizemore, Elwood and Edith Mayo; And a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Ray City with burial following in New Ramah Cemetery with Rev. Robbie Peay officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, July 23, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Fountain family is being served by the caring and compassionate staff of Music Funeral Services of Lakeland.
