Flora Elizabeth Fourakers

Flora Elizabeth Selph Fourakers, 89, of Lakeland, Georgia went to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was born on August 22, 1926, in Pinetta, Florida to the late Joseph and Arie Hughey Selph. As an active member of the community and First Baptist Church of Lakeland for over 55 years, she took a serious part in serving her Lord by ministering to the needs of others through her church and Peanut Butter & Jesus Ministry. Mrs. Flora worked with children in the Lanier County Primary School as a paraprofessional for fourteen years. She was a devoted employee of Patten Seed Company for over fifty years and she considered them her second family. She was a true servant and friend to many in her community.
Mrs. Flora was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Fourakers; father, Joseph Selph; mother, Arie Selph Drew; stepfather, Tom Drew; and son-in-law, Ken Molock.
As a Proverbs 31 lady, she leaves a legacy of faith, love for the church, and the life of a servant's heart to her children; daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia and Glenn Denmark of Valdosta; Jo Molock of Acworth; Tammy and Jody Renfroe of Cairo; and son and daughter-in-law, Mickey and Kay Fourakers of Naylor; eight grandchildren: Melissa Bruce Wetherington of Acworth, GA; Deania Myles Johnston of Dudley, GA; Andrew Jolie Denmark of Valdosta; Bert Fourakers fiancé Kelly Goble of Lakeland; Kristie Travis Andrews of Naylor; Heath Renfroe of Bucharest, Romania; Ryan Vanessa Renfroe of Cairo; Katlyn Renfroe of Valdosta; three sisters: Audrey Aldridge and Joan Baker of Waycross; June William Jones of Gainesville, FL; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Bashie Copeland of Lake Park; Dalceda Roberts and Ichabod and Betty Fouraker of Valdosta; Ruby Morgan of Jasper, FL; Verdie May Agner of Madison, FL; Bill and Patti Fouraker of Pinetta, FL; eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 10:00 A.M Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at the First Baptist Church of Lakeland with Rev. Tommy Bussey officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Horeb in Pinetta, Florida. The family will receive friends Monday, November 2, 2015, from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Music Funeral Home in Lakeland.
