Frances Virginia Strickland – 50

Of Lakeland, GA passed away on August 15, 2016 at her residence. She was born on August 9, 1966 in Dunedin, FL to Norman E. and Margaret Taylor Harp, Sr. Frances loved the Lord and her husband, Johnny of 21 years. She said Johnny was her soul mate and the love of her life. Frances was full of love, always smiling and ready to help anyone in need. She fought this battle with grace, peace, and love that she said came from Jesus only. She loved gospel music, sang all the time and if you didn't get a hug from her you were a stranger. She has been a member of Heaven since she was saved at an early age. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Norman E. Harp, Jr.

Survivors include her Husband, Johnny Strickland of Lakeland, GA; Sisters & Brothers-in-Law, Janet & Frank Woods of Jacksonville, FL, Sharon & Sanford Cagle of Lakeland, GA; Brother & sister-in-Law, Reginald & Amanda Harp of Lakeland, GA; Special Aunt, Linda Taylor of Valdosta, GA; Father-in-Law & Mother-in-Law, Henry & Carolyn Strickland, Sr. of Lakeland, GA; Brother-in-Law & Sister-in-Law, Henry & Lisa Strickland, Jr. of Hahira, GA; Nephews, Aaron Woods, Jason Gibson, Grant Gibson, all of Jacksonville, FL; Niece, Norma & Charlie Gibson of Jacksonville, FL; 4 God children whom she loved like her own; and a large number of Uncles, Aunts, & Cousins.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, August 18, 2016 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home.
