Of Valdosta passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born on September 6, 1956 in Mexico to the late Juan & Genoveva Contreras. He was a member of Open Bible Baptist Church and worked with Reid Paper Company as a machine operator.
Survivors Include: Wife, Pollie Ann Davis, Valdosta, GA; 2 Daughters & Son-in-law, Sarai Avila, Statham, GA, Eunice & Jose R. Saldana, Statham, GA; Son & Daughter-in-law, Erick & Paulita Jassmin Contreras, Statham, GA; Grandchildren: Abril Avila, Isabela Avila, Joey R. Saldana, Jack R. Saldana, Erika Contreras, Ell Contreras, Erik Contreras, Javier Contreras, Steven Luke Contreras and Mia Alexandra Contreras, Mother of Children, Maria de los A. Del Castillo Charles, Statham, GA; Step Son, Melvin Wilkerson, Valdosta; 3 Step Daughters , Teresa Chavez, Valdosta, Sharon Lee Esquivel, Hazlehurst, GA, Judy Fields, Hazlehurst, GA; 3 Sisters, Noemi Contreras, Isidra Contreras and Genoveva Contreras; Brother, Esteban Contreras and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.
