Frank Austin Pressley – 89
Of Lakeland passed away early Saturday evening January 1, 2011 in the Berrien County Hospital in Nashville after a very brief illness. He was born in to the late Robert Daniel and Ivy Pressley on May 11, 1921 in Cullowhee , NC and had lived in Lakeland, GA near Teeterville most of his life. He spent a tour of duty in the United States Coast Guard during WW II, worked for Colonial Foods and most recently as a barber in Valdosta, GA. He was best known for singing bluegrass gospel music at churches and nursing homes in and around Lakeland. He was preceded in death by his life long wife Mary Kent Pressley, brothers and sisters William Howard Pressley Nora Lee Pressley, Robert Daniel Pressley, Jr. Hicks, Louise Pressley, Lula Arganna Pressley, Sallie Ann Pressley, John Clayton Pressley, Jessie Brazilla Pressley, Fred Alexander Pressley, Harley Hurton Pressley, David Swain Pressley, Emily Ruth Pressley, Buford Eugene Pressley. He was a member of the Knights Memorial Missionary Baptist Church.

Daughter and Son-in-Law Elaine and Jim Weight – Kettering, Ohio
Son – Sammy Pressley – Gulfport, MS
Grandchildren – Greg Weight, Karen Weight Casablanca, Tine Pressley
Robert, and Jill Pressley.
Great Grandchildren – Naomi Weight, Sam Weight, Alia Weight, Tygart Robert, Clayton Robert, and Emily Robert.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday January 4, 2011 in the Knights Memorial Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Empire Cemetery in Lanier County. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 9:00 AM Tuesday morning. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
