Of Valdosta, Georgia, formerly of Wakeman, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Louis Smith Memorial Hospital in Lakeland after a short illness. He was born September 13, 1933, in Huntsville, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Rena Jeffers Adkins, and a sister Loretha Staley. He was an Assembly Worker with the Ford Motor Company for over 30 years and a member of the UAW Association. Mr. Adkins was a Veteran of the US Army, serving as a Medical Technician.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Monday, June 25, 2012 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. prior to services. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
