Fred Lamar Pearson – 76
Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman, GA. He was born on November 6, 1939 in Nashville, GA to Fred Lamar Pearson, Sr. and Mattie Odessa Raper Pearson. He was a Professor of History for many years at Valdosta State University. Dr. Pearson was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He was a Mason of the 33rd Degree and an editor of Masonic Messanger for over 32 years. In addition, he was also a Scottish Rite, a Shriner, an Elk, was in South Africa & Brazil with Rotary Masonic Lodge and a member of the St. John Baptist Lodge. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Nancy Lynn Page Pearson and a grandson Sean Halen.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with a private burial in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.
