Fred Michael Sterling

Fred Michael Sterling, age 68, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed peacefully at his residence on Saturday, November 22, 2025. He was born on December 4, 1956, in Torrington, Connecticut to parents JoAnn Pantuski Sterling and Lawrence Sterling.

Fred cherished his time outdoors. Whether he was riding his lawnmower or tending to his yard, he took pride in every moment spent working outside. He also loved fishing and found peace in the quiet of nature. Above all, he adored his dogs, Pippi and Ruby, who were constant companions in his everyday life.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Karen Sterling of Valdosta, Georgia; brother in law, William Larson of Valdosta, Georgia; children: Jennifer Sterling of Valdosta, Georgia and Michael Steling of Jacksonville, Florida; sisters: Jane Wilson of Live Oak, Florida, Bridget Sterling of Jacksonville, Florida, Anna Jones of Jacksonville, Florida, and Sheila Minter of Tifton, Georgia; brothers: Vincent Sterling of Jacksonville, Florida and Wayne Sterling of Jacksonville, Florida.
