Of Valdosta passed away Saturday Morning, November 10, 2007 at South Georgia Medical Center after a sudden illness. She was born in Carrollton, Ohio to the late James and Ruth Dunbar Baxter and had lived in Valdosta for most of her life. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Lechner was preceded in death by her husbands, William McArthur & Ernest Lechner, Son, Charles McArthur and a Grandson, William McArthur III.
Survivors Include: 2 Sons & Daughters-in-law, William Mc & Nikki McArthur II, Valdosta, David & Susie McArthur, Orlando, FL; Granddaughters, Kayla McArthur, Kristina McKinnon; Sister & Brother-in-law, Polly & Wayne Daugherty, Canton, OH; Brother & Sister-in-law, Raymond & Peggy Baxter, Carrollton, OH and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 13, 2007 in the New Bethel Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Mrs. Lechner will be placed in the church 1 hour prior to services. The family will receive friends Monday Night, November 12, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
