Fred “Freddy” Hudson – 86
Of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on February 25, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 30, 1939, in Potts Camp, Mississippi to the late Earl and Catherine Irene (Green) Hudson. Freddy was a Commercial Truck Driver and was the owner and operator of Hudson Trucking. He was an avid sports fan and rooted for Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs. He enjoyed cutting up and joking around with his family. He loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Gus Hudson and Kelly Hudson.
Survivors include his son, David Jerome Hudson (Toni) of Valdosta, Georgia; son, Bryan Allen Hudson of Valdosta, Georgia; grandchildren: Kimberly Brooke Hudson, Jamie Randall (Caitlyn), and Thomas Randall; great grandchildren: Emma, Heaven, Maverick, Aliyah and one on the way; sister, Billie Swinford of Potts Camp, Mississippi; mother of his children, Barbara Hudson of Valdosta, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Wayfare Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the cemetery. Kind words and expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at
