Frieda Marlene (Jackson) Christian – 81
Of Lakeland passed away on September 27, 2017 at Langdale Hospice House after an extended period of illness. She and her husband had been married for 59 wonderful years and she was a devoted house wife throughout her married life. Marlene only worked a short period in the Lanier County School System teaching third grade after her husband retired from the United States Air Force. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Rosa Lee Jackson and Father, Love White Jackson who had been a life time barber in Lakeland, Georgia; Her brother, L.W. Jackson and J.B. (Pete) Jackson and 2 sisters, Kathryn Cox and Francis Bailey.
She is survived by her Husband, Joe Christian, Two Sons, Randy and Kevin Christian; Three Grandchildren: and Two Great Grand Children.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Murrell Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
