Gabriela Martinez

Gabriela Martinez, 51 of Statenville, Georgia passed away after a lengthy illness on Thursday, September 30, 2021 in the care of her loving children. She was born on January 21, 1970 to Remedios Delgado and Jesus Aguirre in Cuauhtemoc, Mexico. Gabriela worked as an agricultural laborer and enjoyed working in the fields during planting and harvest season. She was known as a loving wife, mother and grandmother that enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. On Friday nights you could find Gabriela and her husband, Jose listening to their favorite music and enjoying each other’s company. Gabriela is preceded in death by her grandmother, Ventura Delgado and her uncles, Nicacio Delgado Soto and Cirilo Soto.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years Jose Luis Martinez of Statenville, GA; children; Mario Martinez and wife of Lake Park, GA, Maria Lopez and husband of Statenville, GA, Yuriel Martinez and husband of Statenville, GA and Cristina Martinez and husband of Lake Park, GA; 10 grandchildren, Crystal, Jennifer, Esmeralda, Kimberly, Ivory, Johnny, Lucia, Angel, Sebastian and Sofia along with her sister, MaRemedios Aguirre and husband of Fort Lauderdale, FL and numerous family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 9, 2021 in the chapel of Music Funeral Services of Valdosta with the Reverend Daryl Pate officiating. Interment will take place at Enoch Creek cemetery of Echols County, GA.
