Gary Lee Frees-69
Of Lakeland, GA passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013 after a lengthy illness. He was born October 12, 1943 in Randolph Field, Texas to Roberta Watson and the late Lionell Frees. He retired as an Air Traffic Controller in the United States Air Force and was the Author of many programs still used today on airfields across the world. After the Air Force he went on to become a police officer in Valdosta, GA and then retired from the police force as well. He was a Baptist by faith and will be missed dearly by family and friends. Survivors include: Daughter, Sherry Hall, Walkers Crossing, GA; Daughter & Son-in-Law, Christie & Matt Smith, Lakeland, GA; Son & Daughter-in-Law, Matt & Sandra Frees, Walkers Crossing, GA; Son & Daughter-in-Law, Mitchell & Amber Frees, Walkers Crossing, GA; Brother & Sister-in-Law, Larry & Connie Frees, Ray City, GA; 14 Grandchildren, Many extended family members and friends. As per his wishes he will be cremated and a Memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 2:30 P.M. in the chapel of Music Funeral Services in Lakeland, GA.
