Gary Zeigler, 75
of Naylor, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 12, 1949, in Perry, Georgia, to the late Eudean Zeigler and Naomi Sikes Zeigler. Gary was a dedicated commercial truck driver who spent many years over the road. Gary was also a bus driver for several years with Lanier County Schools. He had a passion for music and was a talented bass player, sharing his love for melodies with those around him. Gary was also a faithful Christian, devoted to teaching and sharing the Word of God at every opportunity.
Above all, Gary was a loving family man. His devotion to his family was evident in everything he did, and he was a true testament to what it meant to be a “family man.” He will be remembered for his warmth, his kindness, and his unwavering faith. Gary is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Linda Gail Zeigler, and his brother, Gene Zeigler. Survivors include his loving daughter and son-in-law, Sabrina and Chad Palmer of Naylor, Georgia; grandchildren: Cheyenne Hope Moore (Lantreal) and Wendy Little (Taylor); his sister and brothers-in-law: Gail and Chet Glisson of St. Augustine, Florida and Janice and Curtis Owens of Fort Valley, Georgia; sister-in-law, Benji Zeigler of Warner Robins, Georgia; special uncle, Bonnie Zeigler of Albany, Georgia; numerous special aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 14, 2024, in the chapel of Music Funeral Services of Lakeland with burial to follow in Wayfare Cemetery, Echols County. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to services.
