George “G.C.” Beverly – 78

Of Lake Park passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Manor, GA on May 15, 1928, to the late Carey & Emma White Beverly. Mr. Beverly loved to fish and was a member of the Southern Bass Club and the Original Bass Busters. He retired from the body shop at Langdale Ford after 41 years of service. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Valdosta, GA. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn James Beverly, his sister, Lucille Curry and a brother, L.E. Beverly.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 20, 2006 in Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy in Manor, GA, with burial in the church cemetery.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Church of God of Prophecy c/o Building Fund, 3941 Debbie Lane, Valdosta, GA. 31601.
