Of Lakeland passed away Tuesday morning September 24, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta after a lengthy battle with cancer He was born April 6, 1934 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late James Albert and Iola Lee Clifton Carson. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his son George Harel Carson, Jr. and an infant daughter Catherine Leann Carson. He retired as a Superintendent III Resource Officer with the Department of Natural Resource in Florida. He was a member of the Camp Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Clinch County, GA. A member of the Blue lodge in Texas and a32nd Degree Mason. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He was involved in many charitable organizations and events thru his church and community. He was passionate about the organization "Peanut Butter and Jesus".

Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Friday, September 27, 2013 in the Camp Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Clinch County, GA with burial in Fender Cemetery in Lanier County, GA.
