George McCoy Fussell, "Jr." – 71

Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at his residence. He was born on April 30, 1943 in Homerville, GA to the late George McCoy Fussell, Sr and Clora Mae Prescott Fussell. He worked for Georgia Natural Gas for 32 years as a corrosion technician. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching the Braves and Falcons. Prior to his decline in health he loved hunting and fishing. Mr. Fussell was a member of the Alapaha Masonic Lodge #209. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Jones and a brother, Robert Earl Fussell.

His survivors include his,
Wife of 50 years, Barbara "Bobbie" Fussell of Valdosta, GA;
Daughter & Son-in-Law, Jo Ellen & Byron Wilder and their children, Todd & Matt Wilder of Valdosta, GA;
Son & Daughter-in-Law, Coy & Kim Fussell and their children, Kailey & Kenna Fussell of Valdosta, GA;
2 Brothers & Sister-in-Law, Gerald "Dede" & Gail Fussell and Marcus "Markey" Fussell of Valdosta, GA;
And a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, June 8, 2014 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home.
