Gerald “Jerry” Mullis – 71
Of Pearson, GA passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019. Mr. Mullis was born on July 15,1947 in Douglas, GA to the late James and Agnes (Nugent) Mullis. Jerry worked in the logging industry and was the owner of Axson Timber Company, Inc. He was a lifetime member of Axson Evangelistic Church. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Marvin Mullis and Ronnie Mullis, and a grandson, Austin Mullis.
Survivors include: Son and Daughter-in-law, Greg and Jeana Mullis of Pearson, GA; Son, Ray Mullis of Okeechobee, FL; Son, Phillip Mullis of Pearson, GA; Daughter, Rebecca Mullis of Pearson, GA; Daughter, Jodi Mullis of Homerville, GA; Grandchildren: James Mullis (Suzanne), Janna Moody (Davis), Woodrow Mullis, Chase Mullis (Taylor), Holly Mullis, Maddie Mullis, JerriBeth Mullis; Great Grandchildren: Cager Mullis, Luke Mullis and Brinley Mullis; Brother and Sister-in-law, Jimmy and June Mullis of Axson, GA; Mother of his sons, Phyllis Mullis of Pearson, GA; Mother of his daughters, Robbin Mullis of Pearson, GA; Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Axson Evangelistic Church, 520 Fiddlers Green Rd, Axson, GA 31624, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the church. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
