Of Lake Park passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015, at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on January 30, 1927, in Colquitt County, GA, to the late Joseph M. and Annie Mae Hasty Sellars. Ms. Folsom retired from the Lowndes County School System, where she was employed as a Secretary at Parker Mathis Elementary School in Valdosta for over 25 years.
Along with her parents, Ms. Folsom was preceded in death by her husband, Kelcy E. Folsom; brother, L. T. Sellars; and Sister-in-Law, Inez Sellars.
Survivors include her Daughter and Son-in-Law, Gwen Strom Tommy of Lake Park, GA; Daughter and Son-in-Law, Cindy Morris Brian of Fitzgerald, GA; Son and Daughter-in-Law, Tommy Folsom Paula of Hahira, GA; Son and Daughter-in-Law, Ron Folsom Ann of Canton, GA; Brother and Sister-in-Law, Jerry Sellars Bonita of Valdosta, GA; Sister and Brother-in-Law, Peggie Clower Larry of Jefferson, GA; Sister, Inear Fulford of St. Augustine, FL; Brother, Mickey Sellars of Alma, GA; Grandchildren: Chris Strom Rachel, Christina Robitzsch Joey, Mitch Folsom Cathy, Marianne Register Ike, Chase Folsom, Neely Byers Chris, Ryan Morris, Amy Killough Josh; Ten Great Grandchildren, A number of Nieces and Nephews, and one four-legged spoiled child Sophie.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services, with burial to follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Tuesday. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
