Gladys Westberry Hendley – 92
Of Valdosta passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at her residence after lengthy illness. She was born on February 7, 1925 in Echols County, GA to the late Mose & Carrie (Carter) Westberry. She worked with the Holiday Inn as a waitress for over 21 years. She was Baptist by faith. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by daughter, Patty Karen Hendley, sisters, Beatrice Harrell, Cora Carter and Paige Pellham, brothers, Owen Corbett and Lamar Westberry.
Surivors Include: 2 Daughters & Sons-in-law: Deborah & Ken Walker, Carrollton, GA, Brenda & Mike Bailey, Valdosta; 3 Sons & Daughers-in-law: Robert & Linda Hendley, Fruitland, GA, Donald Hendley (Hendley Cabinet Shop) Valdosta, Paul & Laurie Hendley, Inverness, Fl; 12 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren and 15 Great Great Grandchildren; Sister: Shirley Skiles, Valdosta and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 22, 2017 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The Committal Service will be held at 4:30 P.M. Saturday in the Webb Hendley Cemetery in Berrien County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday evening, April 21, 2017 at the funeral home.
