Gladys L. Lankford – 88

Of Homerville, GA passed away Thursday afternoon September 3, 2015 in the Lanier Campus of South Georgia Medical Center in Lakeland following declining health for several years. She was born April 2, 1927 in Lanier County to the late Robert E. & Cordie Bell Lee. She was a faithful member of the Camp Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Clinch County, GA before ill health prohibited her attendance. However her love for God, her church, and her church family remained strong. She was a homemaker all her life providing for her family, as well as assisting her husband on the farm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy H. Lankford, daughter Margo L. Hendley, a son Stanley A. Lankford, several brothers and sisters.

Lankford, Homerville, GA; Grandson and Wife, Stan and Caroline Lankford, Homerville, GA; Granddaughter and Husband, Emily and Myron Graham, Valdosta, GA; Great Grandchildren: Thomas, Jack, Walker, Olivia, Auden, Harper; Sister, Betty Jean Sutton, Nashville, GA and a number of Nieces and Nephews

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday September 6, 2015 in the Camp Creek Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Arabia Cemetery in Clinch Co. GA. Mrs. Lankford will be placed in the church 1 hour prior to services. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday September 5, 2015 between 6:00 and 8:00 P.M.
