Gladys Warren Vickers, age 81, of Lakeland, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Langdale Hospice House, Valdosta, Georgia. Gladys was born on August 28, 1941 to the late Azzlar Browning Warren and Andrew Jackson Warren. Gladys was retired from Tanglewood Industry as a machine operator. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Gladys loved to cook on Sunday, made the best chicken and dumplings, enjoyed gardening, and loved shopping at Belk’s and J.C. Penny. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by a brother, Carson Warren and two sisters, Olif Davis and Elritha Adams.
Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-four years, Ivan Vickers of Lakeland, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Tony Vickers and wife Terri of Homerville, Georgia; daughter, Sherry Vickers Clements of Nashville, Georgia; grandchildren: David Delk and wife Tracy, Stacey Register and husband Clint, Jessica McMillan and husband Malcolm, Dalton Harris and wife Victoria, Breanna Hill and husband Donte, Gabbie Clements; nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Sapp of Lakeland, Georgia, two brothers, Willis Warren and Carlos Warren both of Lakeland, Georgia; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock pm, Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church, Nashville, Georgia. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Music Funeral Services, Lakeland.
