Of Valdosta passed away at his residence on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. He was born on April 25, 1929 in China Grove, NC to the late Milas Alby and Carry Dick Lowder. He was a truck driver having driven for Roadway Express prior to his retirement and was a member of The Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Susan Elizabeth Bohannan, a son-in-law, Jerry Lewis, sister Audrey Lowder, and brothers Larry Lowder and Milas “Buck” Lowder.
Survivors include: Loving wife of 33 years Betty Lowder, Daughter Amy Lewis, Daughter Barbara Corrier and husband Dennis, Son Barry Lowder, Son Jeff Lowder and wife Lisa, Son Blaine Pearce and wife Laura, Blake Pearce and wife Barbara; Grandchildren: Andy Buffaloe and wife Katie, Roger Buffaloe, Megan Lowder, Travis Lowder, Chad Pearce and wife Brandi, Leah Jones and husband Isaac, Jessica Roberts and husband Owen, 7 Great Grandchildren; sister Shirley Smith, and numerous friends and extended family.
Per his wishes memorialization will be by cremation and no formal services will be held. Kind words and expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
