Glenn Eugene Taylor, 91, of Valdosta, GA passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Langdale Hospice House. Glenn was born on May 1, 1931 in Liberty, KY to Dempsey and Arley Wilson Taylor. Glenn served as a mason for 60 years, achieving the 32nd degree. He traveled many miles in his motor home touring the country. A country he loved and served faithfully for 20 years in the United States Army. He loved being outside perfecting his yard and tending to his garden. He could be found on two wheels, either bicycling or riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. When he wasn't outside, he was enjoying a western movie while drinking a cup of coffee or reading a book. He enjoyed attending the Dixie Stampede and dining out with friends and family. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of 50 years, Kyoko Taylor, and six siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Irene Taylor of Valdosta, GA; two sons, Gene Taylor and wife Betty of Cartersville, GA, Bob Taylor of Havre de Grace, MD; daughter, Cathy Taylor of New Hampshire; two step sons, Jon Chancy of Quitman, GA, Justin Chancy and wife Carrie of Boston, GA; step daughter, Jessica Fouraker and husband Forrest of Jacksonville, FL; 14 grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew, Casey, Krystin, Terra, Madison, Charlyann, Chloe, Alyssa, Levi, Deacon, Talen, Ledger, Elliette; great grandsons, Jackson and Finnick; great-great grandson, Legend; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, May 1, 2023 at Music Funeral Services Chapel with burial to follow in Bushnell National Cemetery.
