Of Adel passed away Friday evening July 23, 2004 in the Adel Convalescent Center after a lengthy illness. She was born and had lived in Cook County most of her life. Ms. Griffin was a member of the Benevolence Baptist Church. Her husband, Eugene Griffin, Son, Virgil Balkom, Sr., and Brother, Thomas White, Sr. preceded her in death.

Son Raymond Dukes, Jr. McDonough, GA
Sister Essie M. Scott Valdosta, GA
4 Grandchildren 11 Great Grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews
Graveside Services were held at 11:00 A.M. Monday July 26, 2004 in the Benevolence Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Burt Justice officiating.
