Of Valdosta, GA passed away early Monday morning, November 17, 2014 at her residence. She was born on July 31, 1932 in Lakeland, GA to the late John W. and Irene Guthrie Weaver. She was a member of the Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Adel, GA. At the age of 18 she trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker to her family, a true Proverbs 31 woman. She was a 1949 graduate of Lanier County High School. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Griner, a sister, Mary Parker, and a brother John W. Jr.
Survivors include her Son & Daughter-in-Law, Ray & Bonnie Griner of Pace, FL; Daughters, Lareta Griner of Valdosta, GA, Lynn G. Taylor of Valdosta, GA;
7 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; Brother & Sister-in-Law, Wayne & Gloria Weaver of Tallahassee, FL; Sisters, Janice Devane of Valdosta, GA, and Marilyn King of Enigma, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Valdosta, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.
