Msgt. Robert Alexander, Jr. – 80
Mr. Robert Alexander, Jr., the son of the late Robert Alexander, Sr. and Cassie Mae Alexander graced our presence on June 14, 1943 in Tallahassee, Florida. Robert received his formal education from the Leon County public school system. Robert would then enlist in the United States Air Force in 1962. While in Tallahassee, Robert met his childhood sweetheart, Mary Helen Belim Alexander and were united in Holy Matrimony on November 8, 1964. From this union the Lord blessed them with six beautiful girls. He later continued his journey for 26 years in the Air Force where he retired. Robert Alexander, Jr. was a dedicated hard worker as we worked and retired from Miami Dade Transit 15 years as a Bus Operator ending his career retired 15 years with Lowndes County Transportation. Robert Alexander, Jr. answered the master call in the afternoon on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Robert loved the Lord and his light shined bright wherever he went. Robert was an extraordinaire devoted husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Robert loved telling military stories talking and meeting new people he had a great sense of humor. But most of all he loved the Miami Dolphins.
Robert Alexander, Jr. leaves to reminisce his wife, Mary Helen Alexander of Tallahassee, Florida; daughter, Cassie Isom of Orlando, Florida; daughter, Maxine Alexander of West Palm Beach, Florida; daughter, Kashi Payne and husband Roy of Miami, Florida; daughter, Ashley Alexander of Miami, Florida; brother, Earl Bosewell and Debra of Tallahassee, Florida; thirteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Along with Roberts parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Chevelle Alexander and grandson, LeAnthony Meriwether.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, January 27, 2024 in the chapel of Music Funeral Services of Valdosta. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the funeral home. A private graveside service will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida where military honors will be rendered.
