Gwen Gleason – 78
Of Ray City, GA passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017 at SGMC Lanier Campus in Lakeland, GA. She was born on January 14, 1939 in Birmingham, England to James and Lucy (Hinsley) Bassett. She worked at NAF at Moody Air Force Base. Gwen was a loving mother and grandmother and she enjoyed spending time with her family. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Frank K. Gleason, Sr., two of her sisters, Thelma and Joan, and a brother, Geoffrey.
Survivors include her Daughters & Sons-in-Law, Sherry Estrada(Juan) of Citrus Heights, CA, Janine Meer(Andrew) of Atherstone, England; Sons & Daughters-in-Law, Steve Gleason of Ray City, GA, James Gleason(Melissa) of Ray City, GA, Frank Gleason, Jr(Rose) of Hahira, GA; Special Grandson, David Gleason(Barbara) of Ray City, GA; 17 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Beryl Bassett and Linda Bassett all of England; Brothers, Fred Bassett, Peter Bassett and Jim Bassett all of England; and several nieces & nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens.
