Halia Marie Strickland

Halia Marie Strickland, age 18, passed away, Thursday, September 30, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Halia was born on July 1, 2003 in Adel, Georgia to Elena Morris Strickland and Michael Edwin Strickland. Halia was employed with Music Garden as a Video Editor. She was a loving and caring daughter, and was always thinking of others. She enjoyed being a make-up artist, writing music, singing, painting, junk journaling, vlogging, gardening, writing to her many pen-pals, reading her bible and visiting the beach. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ben Morris and Lisa Ernst Morris; and paternal grandfather, Kenny Strickland, Sr.
In addition to her loving parents, survivors include a sister, Katia Strickland and a brother, Payton Strickland both of Valdosta, Georgia; paternal grandparents, Donna Strickland and Papa Andy Yanconish of Hahira, Georgia; paternal great-grandmother, Betty Strickland of Chipley, Florida; uncles and aunts, Gil Trimm of Auburn, Alabama, Kenny Strickland, Jr. and wife Holly of Albany, Georgia, Jason Morris and wife Merari of Valdosta, Georgia, Jared Morris and wife Jill of Valdosta, Georgia, and Brandy Yanconish of Lakeland, Georgia, as well as several other loving family members and friends.
Graveside rites will be held at 2 o’clock PM, Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Friendship Cemetery, Hahira, Georgia. The family will greet friends at the cemetery following the service.
