Hansel L. Boyette – 84

Of Lakeland passed late Saturday afternoon March 7, 2009 in the Heritage House Nursing Home in Valdosta after a lengthy illness. He was born August 5, 1924 in Lanier County, GA to the late Grover and Hattie Deen Boyette. He received his agricultural degree from the University of Florida and was a self employed stump wood producer for over 35 years. He was preceded in death by a son Gary Boyette, a granddaughter Stephanie Jackson, and sisters Ruth Markham and Mary Mercier. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Ray City where he served as a deacon and other capacities for many years.

Sons and Daughters-in-law – Jeff Boyette and Pam Bullard – Signal Mountain, TN, Tim and Laura Boyette –Lakeland, GA, Tony and Cathy Boyette – King, NC
Steve and Jeannie Boyette – Watkinsville, GA
Grandchildren – Eric Boyette, Jessica Boyette, Matthew Boyette, Alysha Boyette, Melissa Earp, Craig Boyette, Erin Boyette, and Rebecca Boyette
Great Grandchildren – Jayla Boyette, Mikaila Jackson, Taylor Hall, Kyleigh Boyette

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday March 10, 2009 in the First Baptist Church of Ray City with burial in Beaver Dam Cemetery in Ray City, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 P.M. Flowers accepted or contribution may be given to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
